How do we start?
We begin with a discovery phase where we learn how your
current workflow works and identify the challenges — such as pain points, repetitive tasks,
or communication breakdowns that slow your team down. From there, we design and propose a
custom solution that not only works around your existing process but also makes it
efficient, accurate, and easier to manage.
How long does a typical project take?
Most projects take 3-5 weeks depending on complexity and
integrations. we'll give you a clear timeline up front and keep you updated at each
milestone.
How do you handle payments and milestones?
A 50% upfront deposit (non-refundable) is needed to secure
your project slot and commence the development. The remaining 50% is due once the system is
complete and approved for launch. Payments can be made by bank transfer or credit card
through a secure payment link.
What ongoing costs should I expect after launch?
Ongoing costs vary by usage. Common items include hosting,
domain, storage, and third-party services like APIs. For light use, costs are minimal;
heavier usage or advanced AI can scale. We'll outline likely scenarios during planning so
you can budget confidently.
Do you provide hosting and database setup?
Yes, we can set them up for you and hand over full access.
That way you own the accounts directly, not us. But if you already have hosting or a
deployment setup, we can deploy straight there.
Will the system be mobile friendly?
Yes. Every system we build is responsive across desktop,
tablet, and mobile. Dedicated mobile apps or offline features are scoped separately.
What happens if the scope changes mid-project?
If something new comes up, we'll give you a clear estimate
before adding it in. Small changes are usually easy to fold in, bigger ones just need a
separate scope so timelines stay predictable.
How do you handle data migration and imports from existing
systems?
If you're moving from spreadsheets or another system, we can
help import your data. Simple CSV or Excel imports are usually straightforward. More complex
migrations (like from old databases or legacy platforms) might need extra work, but we'll
review your data and give you clear options before we start.
Who is behind Syntacks?
Syntacks is the development arm and sister studio of
Transkript, an
independent art director and interactive designer that has worked with projects for Walt
Disney, Microsoft, and Universal Music Group.
While Transkript focuses on design, Syntacks was founded to carry the same culture of
quality into building custom online tools for businesses and professionals. We're not your
typical dev shop — think of us as your next-door studio that understands the pain of
outdated workflows and helps you future-proof your business, especially in the age of AI.
